Nicole Stratton Video Series: Intro to Acting and Directing

Nicole Chavers Stratton began touring with The Academy of Arts, performing music and drama, when she was only 5 years old, and has been featured as a vocal soloist and character actor on 10 recordings, distributed world-wide. Nicole began directing when she was 16, producing Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” with her fellow students. The production she directed went from the stage to film, and earned her a scholarship to Clemson University. When she was 19, Nicole began directing productions for The Academy of Arts traveling team, in schools all over the Eastern and Mid-Western United States and has directed over 450 major productions. She earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Dramatic Productions, and has performed with The Academy of Arts in over 900 performances during the last 20 years. It is her life’s mission to see young people grow in their understanding of Jesus Christ through the powerful media of Drama and Music, and to teach them to use their gifts for Him alone. Her work with young people in the arts was recognized by the Governor of South Carolina, and she is a sought after speaker and presenter at conferences all over the country. Nicole teaches Acting, Directing, Philosophy of Music, Stage Movement, and Advanced Stage Makeup at The Academy of Arts Christian Conservatory in Taylors, South Carolina. Nicole lives in Greer, South Carolina with her husband Noah and their son Brinton.
