Joseph’s faith in God stays true until he is miraculously promoted to the overseer of all of Egypt, second only to Pharaoh. As famine ravages the land and the brothers are forced to go to Egypt for food, they are dramatically brought face to face with their very own brother whom they betrayed years earlier.
The story of The Reluctant Dragon is about a little boy who discovers a dragon living in a cave not far from his home. Instead of being a ferocious, man-eating beast as fits the dragon stereotype, this dragon is, well, a gentleman. He loves poetry and being mannerly. When the townspeople discover the dragon, they assume he is a dangerous beast and don’t take the time to get to know him as the little boy did. Eventually, a result that appeases everyone is reached, but not without a few kerfuffles along the way

This gripping production was written by our very own Nicole Chavers Stratton, with music by Tommy Curtin, Nicky Chavers and Olivia Singleton. Based on the novel, A Peep Behind the Scenes, which sold over 2.5 million copies upon its release in 1877, this beautiful human story follows the life of Norah, a woman living the seemingly charmed life of a singer and actress on the stage. But as we get a glimpse behind the scenes, we come to realize that things are not always as they seem.
The Ant and the Grasshopper is the third of its kind in a series of children’s musicals written by Nicole Stratton and her father Dr. Nicky Chavers. Your children will enjoy this delightful musical, and your hearts will be blessed as you watch “The Ant and the Grasshopper.”.
