Joseph of Arimathea, like many people today, served wealth openly and God secretly. Joseph struggled with accepting that Christ truly was the Messiah, yet he and his wealthy friend Nicodemus went to see Jesus by night. As a result of the beautiful discourse between Jesus and Nicodemus, these two members of the Sanhedrin secretly became believers for fear of the Jews. Soon after this, Joseph went to Cyprus, but returned to Jerusalem only to find Jesus hanging on a Roman cross. Joseph is faced with the most important decision of his life – to take a stand openly for his faith or continue living in fear of man.
