Writing & Editing The class will go through the script of Prince Caspian while Nicole breaks down the process of compiling a powerful and compelling script. Writing exercises will be given for each student to begin to test their imagination and organization of thought on paper. Blocking and Composition A play or film can look boring and amateur or engaging and professional depending on the set up of scenery and the blocking of the cast. Students will engage in acting exercises in front of their classmates while Nicole teaches the proper blocking and stage movements to effectively and powerfully tell a story. Acting & Directing After having just come through the performances of the world premiere of Prince Caspian, Nicole will be talking through the principles and concepts she used with the actors to bring the world of Narnia to the stage. She will give unique insights into her decision making process for directing and working with the actors. Each participant in the class will need to come with a short piece of literature memorized (Bible passage, famous speech or quote, classic literature, etc.) and Nicole will work with as many participants as possible.
